I grew up drawing and painting near the edge of the Angeles National Forest. California is a rich part of my personal narrative and influences my fine art works. I currently serve as President at TAG Gallery in Los Angeles.
I primarily work in watercolor and collage but believe that diversity of practice is essential for innovative thinking. I'm a planner, yet despite the best laid outline, paintings always tell me what they want to become as I work.
Nature, travel, Sci-fi and queer studies are some of the things that get me motivated. But my true love is getting creative. You can often catch me manipulating images, drawing (often enough on my iPad these days), or spinning words.
See my watercolor and ink masterwork Zephyri California Ascendit at LAAA's Open Show.
