In Classical Mythology, Persephone was held as queen of the Underworld after eating three pomegranate seeds from that land. The fruit has long been associated with mysticism and the mysteries of life and death. This watercolor piece, from the Fractured Collection, explored the nature of separateness and wholeness. Each of the nine panels is five inches square. The piece was on display at The Hud for the Summer Group Show.
