Shaman, Watercolor Totems by K Ryan Henisey

  Shaman.
As many of you know, I paint. It’s almost a religious practice, a type of daily absolution that must be maintained. Mythology and symbol are such wonderful things to paint they take the mind on spiritual journeys of color and meaning. The symbols in the totem collection are all selected from historic images. Recreating symbols fuels the creative fire.

Shaman is from the Totem Collection, a series of watercolor symbols from Native American mythology. Shown in detail, Shaman is 9×6 inches, watercolor on 140lb paper.
