#Sticks&Stones At LA Art Association’s Out There, June 2015

My set, #Sticks&Stones, was selected as part of the Los Angeles Art Associations special Pride Exhibit, “Out There.” It will be on display June 12-19th in Gallery 825 right in my neighborhood.

The opening reception is tomorrow, Friday, June 12 from 6-9 pm in the gallery and I hope you can make it! I’m thrilled and proud to be part of this exhibit and to have it so close to home!

#Sticks&Stones is part of a larger body of work, #ArttoEndViolence, of which the titular piece has been selected for Fine Arts at The California State Fair.

#Sticks&Stones is a four piece set, watercolor, wax and ink depicting the murders and suicides of LGBT Americans.

  1. I am heading to LA June 19th and want to see this exhibit. It will still be up on the 19th?? Gallery 825 is on La Cienega? Pardon my dumb, but the website is extremely confusing. thanks chrisotpher

    1. Not dumb at all! Yes, the gallery will be open on the 19th. It’s the last day of the show. Their hours are 10am to 5pm. If you can make it, let me know when and I’ll stop by the gallery of I can get away! (Email lifeasgood(at)gmail(dot)com). πŸ™‚

      1. I talked to be buddy and we’re def going to the gallery around 2 or 2:30. I pick him up in Pasadena at 11:30 and head to WeHo. We’ll lunch somewhere and then head to the gallery. Any suggestions what other art to check out in that area?

      2. Perfect! I should be able to break away. There are great galleries there along la Cienega and melrose as well. The PDC and WeHo MOCA are nearby as well. πŸ™‚
