#ArtToEndViolence, a nine piece set of watercolor portraits featuring those slain through homophobia, transphobia and racism. In the center, a self portrait recounts the narrative of their deaths in fingerprint whirls and the impact each had on my life. The full narrative can be read by clicking above.
Over 1,200 pieces of art were submitted to the California State Fair. 180 pieces were selected.
This will be the first time the piece has been physically displayed in public. With nearly 15 million people expected to attend the fair, that’s quite a debut.
